Benjamin "Ben" Parker, is Spiderman's uncle, not his grandfather. Peter's father Richard was the much younger brother of Ben.

He's also pretty much the only comic book figure who has remained dead and not brought back to life. The other two were Bucky and Jason Todd, but both of those are back from the dead as well. The former as the new Captain America, the latter, well, for a brief while the criminal the Red Hood, later the hero the Red Robin, currently without a cowl and cape, but still "apparently" on the side of the angels.
