a) Sasuke is still an idiot, who can't distinguish between truth and lies.

b) Impressive plot twist, one that I hadn't seen coming, that's for sure.

Spoiler Spoiler With the twist being that Itachi also stored some of his power in Naruto to help even out the odds, if Sasuke were to ever attack Konoha. Most impressive, definitely anticipating that Sasuke might fall to Madara's deceptions and having a contingency in place if it does.
