Dubs are irritating, to say in the least. More often than not, words are out of sync with the movement of the character's mouths, and a lot of jokes are lost, along with the feel of the culture. No honnorifics are left after dubbing, so relationships that were clear when watching the subbed version are hazy and sometimes imposible to recognize in the dubbed version. Also, the voice actors...ugh. It's embarassing to hear the basic voice inflections of an actor you are familiar with hearing matched up with a character you know didn't talk like that in the original version. Well, at least it is for me. I actually stopped watching the dubbed versions of Bleach and Death Note to watch the original with subs. I agree with you, HollowESB, that dubs suck.
