Yeah, even if we tried to create the technology there wouldn't be enough time to get it in a working state.
And a side point:
Also black holes are created because of the constant struggle between the pressure from the energy of the star and gravity, which in most cases gravity wins and the star collapses and turns into a black hole. But in some cases (the star would have to be at least 150 times the size of the sun), the pressure gets so great that the heat of the core gets intensely hot, and the pressure from the star exceeds the gravity's push and the star gets totally annihilated. This is thought to be the case with the supernova SN2006GY.
