Well, that's simple, Junky-chan. What you do is build up an army. Keep all immigrants as much as possible. Keep all trade as close to home as possible. And wait til the war comes to you. Problem solved. That way, you've got the right to fight back. And you know the territory since it's your homeland.
Oh yeah, and if other countries' planes try to fly over you, shoot them down.
In short, this strategy requires less energy, less money, less travel, and your troops know where to go and all sorts of other good stuff.
