Honestly, I think it'd be pretty risky..
CG can ruin a movie. And they'd have to make sure they put good amounts of work into choreography, and rounded characters, etc.* I think Satsu mentioned something about this as well earlier, I'm too lazy to go check though...
Transformers, and Iron Man, as well, came out quite well. I was impressed with both, (though I had no desire to see either).
However, all it takes is one movie to fail, to make the genre disliked, and/or to make producers nervous. D:

EDIT: Just to clarify what I meant here: They'd have to make sure they didn't spend too much time, money, or both on CG and have crappy acting, choreography, bad scripting, unpleasing characters. Or vice-versa. As in, they have to be careful if they prioritize, or their movie will be lacking in other places. I'll give some examples of movies like this later. (Will edit in).
