Soooo, I was checking out Wikipedia, looking for the meanings of all the DBZ characters names, when I came across the most horrifying, heartbreaking, death of anime, hang your head and cry announcement ever!!

This summer, or possibly closer to the end of this year....Starring the guy who plays Spike from Buffy and the whiny duche bag son from War of the Worlds comes....Dragon Ball....sigh....No kidding....the guy who plays Spike is Piccolo, while the douche bag son is going to be Goku. I know some people may not care, but DBZ is one of the most recognized animes and I personally love it, even if some of the fights (well, ok, MOST of the fights) do last like 18 episodes. I haven't seen any photos or trailers, but personally, I think this is going to do everything BUT help anime in general....As I said, this is a sad day....sigh...I think I need some antacids...

p.s. the only plus I can see to this is that Chi-Chi and Bulma are being played by pretty hot chicks..oh, and as a "ehh" note, Chow-yun Fat is Master Roshi...not sure what I think about that one....

Oh god im starting to get scared. Really scared. This is bad news :/ I hope they dont destroy DB and make it all commercial and sell-outy like transformers after that live action movie! -cries-

Well they could make this really good... I LOVE DBZ, it's what got most people into Anime, etc.

I think they could make this good, but they really have to work for it. I always pictured that if they fought it would be something Epic, like the last battle between Neo and Mr. Smith... *Sigh*

I pray this movie goes well.

Oddly enough, there is no trailers and VERY little photos from it so far. From what I've seen/read, it has less than a year but is still in filming....IDK what to think about it. I really hope they do a good job and get some interest going in anime...or this could suck and anime will still hopefully at least get SOME reconition...or ths will seriously hurt anime...who knows? I personally think this is going to be a disaster...

this reminds me of the devil may cry live action movie thats gunna be coming out.
they picked some poor choices to make movies out of because the amount of action in them isnt gunna work in live action unless they do something that really looks good
