Why is Code Geass so special?

I hear/see people saying that Code Geass is the best, awesome, etc.

And also that its the closet anime to death note. Well, if its the closet to death note then i would watch it but i don't think it is.

It has machines (kinda like gundams) so i wouldn't think its similar to death note.
But similar to any gundam animes.

But anyone, give me some good reasons why any person should like and watch Code Geass !

It's similar in the sense that it involves a young teenager who wants to change the world through his brilliance. But in Code geass he;s a lot more human than in light of death note

^agreed plus it mixes in some really cool genres together. Idk it is the epitome of Pure Awesomeness imo.

Lite gets shinigami eyes and a death note. Lelouch gets eyes to make anybody do anything he wants them to but only once. In a sense Lelouch sorta can do what Lite does. Which one is more human?

theres a review for code geass in the zomg mag
the red eye im pretty sure its because the girl with the green hair gives it to him as long as he makes her one wish come true or something
idk the mag explains and i don't think the anime itself is that long so u can watch it fast

o yah and the machines are like their weapons
they are called knights
dam i suck at tryin to explainin stuff

Just search it up on wikipedia if you really want an explanation on what it's about. If not that, then look through the reviews.

Code Geass is honestly a new 'type' of anime which involves Gundam like battles with Death Note stratergy...
The concept of Knightmare allows me to enjoy the show as well, as I am a mecha fan.
It is also intresting to see that Lelouch has a pretty messed up love life

Also, I don't think Code Geass is as close to Death Note as people say. They say it because other people do, etc.. but really, Death Note is a big mind game; Code Geass is about strategy. In anycase, they're both good: 10's. Neither is on my top 5 favorite anime list, though. xD
