I was just wondering for those who have seen Macross 7 is the story worth the watch? Ive tried watching it a few times but I keep getting annoyed by the main character Basarai Nekki (sp?). Im just wondering if its worth putting up with him to watch the series or should I just forget about it if I cant stand the guy?

well its depends, how far have you managed to get into the series?
but yeh id say its worth watching. Though the music is kinda out dated lol

uhm maybe 3-4 eps in maybe more so not too far in. thanks for the heads up maybe i will give it a try while im at work tommorow.

Personally I think it is worth watching. The music may be a bit outdated as Starstreaker pointed out, but I still like it better than the music in any of the other Macross series. Just out of curiosity though, what about Basara did you find to be annoying?

i guess its the i want to sing to bring an end to fighting/ bring peace. He has a custom valk thats designed to blast tunes and it seems like it takes away from what should be an action scene. When he is playing music with his band or standing up for people hes ok, for some reason it just hits a nerve when he flies around getting into poeple's way to sing his song, then goes emo cuz no one listened. Everytime he flies out his valk i wish skull leader would just fly by n drop a couple of missiles on him >.>
