Beyblade Anime to Return after 4 Years This Summer
Quote:
The April 8 issue of the Nihon Keizai (Nikkei) Shimbun paper reports that Takara-Tomy is reviving the Beyblade spinning-top game franchise after a four-year hiatus this August, and will sponsor a new accompanying Beyblade anime this summer. Takara-Tomy is aiming for 20 billion yen (about US$200 million) in yearly revenue by next year, and will improve the new tops by making them out of metal instead of plastic.
Takara-Tomy launched the game franchise in 1999, and sponsored three anime series between 2001 and 2003: Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, Bakuten Shoot Beyblade 2002 (Beyblade V-Force), and Bakuten Shoot Beyblade G-Revolution. Nelvana (Bakugan, Medabots) released all three in the United States, with the last new episode airing in 2005. Viz Media released Takao Aoki's manga spinoff, although a new manga series has yet to be announced.

Um...the plastic spining tops gave me a cut...Imagine what fully metal tops will give? I think if they are going to do something like that...make the anime more fun to watch and make the age aim not like 5-10 like more like 5-15 or something :O

Maybe it's just me... But I'd watch it if a Jewish version came out with dredels instead of tops. Simply for the humor factor.

Lawl...I don't think another season of beyblade and their "monster" in a "spining top" thing will be very interesting to watch AGAIN. And what's up with the metal updates...people will seriously hurt them selves and sue the company.

Hahaha. I guess the concept is somewhat amusing... Kinda like the whole YuGiOh thing (which I absolutely hated ever since it was created). I just feel that these types of shows are simply too childish.

Lol I was a child when I like Yu Gi Oh and I somewhat still like it and yes I do have Yu Gi Oh cards...Don't touch them anymore though. Yu Gi Oh wasn't that bad to be honest...it was quiet amusing. Beyblade also because I bought like 4 tops and parts to the top. It was like one of my Gundum stages where I bought like 2 mini models of them o.o and I had a shinning gundum

Actually, when I was younger, Gundams didn't interest me, but now they do just for the "building" and "neat" factor of them. Speaking of cards... I still have all my Pokemon cards, which I refuse to sell/get rid of. I have a feeling in the future it'll bring back some nice memories.

Instead of making money...I lost money and I bought so many Yu Gi Oh cards xD I use to play them with myself and sometimes with my friends. Pokemon...that's a little hard to play because it's just weird lol but I still had like over 500 of them.

Riiight. I'm sure you still secretly play, Ben. lol.
Yugioh was alright, it had some plot and sense to it. Beyblade was straight ripoff from pokemon where nothing really happens. Just episode after episode. In my view, pointless.

I actually didn't spend that much and in total it was like $35- $50?
The Yugioh cards in total was like $100 dollars more or less.
The Pokemon cards was more of a friend giving me and etc...and wining them so basically about $15 dollars.
