Genji Monogatari Sennenki

The project originally began as an anime adaptation of Asakiyumemishi - The Tale of Genji, Waki Yamato's historical shōjo manga retelling of the same novel about a motherless prince and his descendants. However, Dezaki decided that he wanted to bypass the manga version and write and direct a more direct interpretation of the original novel itself. The anime will celebrate the thousand-year anniversary of the original novel, although the exact date of its writing is unknown.
The tale concentrates on Genji’s romantic life and describes the customs of the aristocratic society of the time. Much is made of Genji’s good looks. His most important personality trait is the loyalty he shows to all the women in his life, as he never abandons any of his wives. When he finally becomes the most powerful man in the capital, he moves into a palace and provides for each of them.
Kuro Kami

Kuro Kami will revolve around an ordinary game programmer named Keita who gets caught in a battle being fought by Kuro — a Mototsumitama or a guardian of the coexistence equilibrium. Kuro saves Keita's life and regenerates an arm that Keita loses when they first meet.

Tower of Druaga - the Sword of Uruk

It is said that every few years, there is what’s known as the "Summer of Anu." During that summer, thanks to the divine protection of the sky-god Anu, all of the demons in the tower lose their power. The country of Uruk has begun an invasion of the tower in order to suppress the demons. They’ve built up positions inside the tower, with their sights set on getting to the upper levels. The Uruk army knows that this is the third Summer of Anu-a perfect time to launch a mission to suppress the monster Druaga once and for all. The army soldiers aren’t the only ones in the tower, though. An enitre city called Meskia has formed inside the tower’s first floor. It plays host not just to soldiers, but also to adventurers who have heard rumors about a legendary treasure called the Blue Crystal Rod, which is said to rest at the very top of the tower. With all these different groups in the mix, each with its own agenda, one can only guess how things will play out during this unusual summer.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei OVA

The first of five volumes, "Hajisarashi," will be a gag story set in the municipal swimming pool. The next three volumes, which will be the "Saikoroshi" arc, will be a serious drama involving one of the story’s heroines after the resolution of the two previous television series. This arc will be released between February and June of next year. The final volume, "Hirukowashi" on August of 2009, will be a slapstick romantic comedy based on a novel spinoff from the Higurashi Daybreak game, which is being ported to the PSP.

On December 25, the Japanese media distributor King Records will be shipping a DVD Box that will include the entire first D.C. ~Da Capo~ anime series (2003) and a new, tentatively titled D.C.I.F. Da Capo If Part I OVA episode. The new OVA will feature the popular character Kotori Shirakawa (Yui Horie) as the main character.
Bleach - Fade to Black: Kimi no Na wo Yobu Movie

A mysterious reiatsu (spiritual particle) explosion occurs in the center of Seireitei in Soul Society, causing it to be destroyed. At the exact same time, a major change overwhelms Kuchiki Rukia, which leaves her losing something important inside. Urahara Kisuke sends Kurosaki Ichigo to Soul Society to investigate the disturbance. Upon reaching Seireitei, Ichigo is set upon and attacked by shinigamis, once allies, who have no memory of him and Rukia. Now alone and on the run, Ichigo must find the missing Rukia and uncover the cause of the mysterious incident before it's too late.
Chocolate Underground the Movie Movie

The previously announced Chocolate Underground anime adaptation of Alex Shearer's Bootleg novel will be heading to Japanese theaters this January. The satirical novel follows two English boys who create a bootleg chocolate factory after their country bans chocolate. Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar the Movie Movie

This year's 42nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has announced on Saturday that Kyosuke Usuta's Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar comedy manga will be animated in a film and a new DVD series. The manga follows a hapless budding guitarist nicknamed "Piyohiko" who gets steered into the music business by a mysterious man named Jaguar — if Piyohiko would play a recorder instead of a guitar. Kaeruotoko Shokai, the Flash animation studio best known for Eagle Talon The Movie - The Chancellor Only Lives Twice and Sguy and The Family Stone the Movie, will be producing the new projects. Jaguar had already been adapted as a live-action film this past January and an earlier Flash-animated video series last year. The new anime film is scheduled to open in January 2009, and the new DVD series will be timed to coincide with the theatrical release.

Sgt. Frog the Super Movie: There Are Invading Dragon Warriors! Movie
The fourth Sgt. Frog Super Movie will begin with the sudden appearance of the mysterious giant beings "Ryū no Shippo" (Dragon Tails) around the world. Sgt. Frog, the space alien who came to invade Earth but now protects it, and his four subordinates mobilize to New York, Paris, Sydney, Tanzania, and central Tokyo. With the help of a mysterious girl named Shion who holds the Ryū no Hon (Dragon Book), Sgt. Frog's platoon transforms into mighty Dragon Warriors to fend off the new threat.
