Outlaw Star was my very first anime. It involves many beautiful battles in space by the means of "grappler ships"(spaceships with arms). There are a lot of really funny moments there. The main character is jean starwind, the pilot of the spaceship Outlaw Star. He is followed by a crew of 4 other people. their aim, to find the galactic layline.

Advantages: Awesome theme song, Funny and intresting characters, Super cool space fight scenes and cool Gun Vs. Magic battles.

Disadvantages: It takes 5 episodes before they find the space ship and it takes a while to get into the anime.

but all in all outlaw star is an awsome anime, it was the very first anime that i watch, back on cartoon network, that caster gun jean had wa frikkin awsome, some of the thing that he did was pretty funny

It's been so long since I've watched Outlaw Star I can't remember a single episode. All I remember is it's sorta like Cowboy Bebop.

I believe I saw that on cartoonnetwork or some kind of show like um jetax or something. Anyways, does it talk about like a racer and his dad is like the mayor or something and he doesn't tell her that he is his father etc...?
