Ayashi no Ceres
Ever have one of those days when your whole family is out to get and kill you? Kind of but not really? Aya did...this was a story so captivating it had me hooked by episode 3. I began watching it and eventually relised that I couldn't stop. The raw emotions shown in the story as it progressed were amazing. It made you feel what Aya felt moving through the storyline. You'd see her go through fear, love, hope, death of loved ones, happiness, and so on. The story was very dramatic as it moved along and constantly gained new unexpected turns of events. This was such a great anime, great enough to earn a place in my favorites, 2nd only to Yu Yu Hakusho. The way the world would seem to turn against Aya and then to be able to see her gain hope only to have it crushed in a short amount of time was captivating. The ending was also very good unlike most animes and made me awfully hurt to see it end. Being able to see it all work out for Aya with the twist that she lost so much in the end. The fact that the authors could mix 2 opposite feelings together in such a way was amazing. The animation wasn't that great, but its storyline greatly made up for it. The storyline made it look like a small speck of dust on a black desk.
In general I give this anime a 4.95 out of 5 and a 9.7 out of 10. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I actually have recommended it many times and everytime someone listens and watches it they always come back saying it was great.
