Nobody has reviewed this excellent anime, so I've taken it upon myself. For those of you that haven't seen this show yet - I highly recommend it!
Clannad is a romance/drama - with a side of comedy that had me attached right away. Everything from it's characters, art, to opening and music give it a warm, but melancholy touch, that, with it's story and plot will keep you watching until you've finished.
My short synopsis, or rather a small "How the story started"
**:
Tomoya Okazaki is a third year high school student resentful of his life. Tomoya has had a nearly non-existent relationship with his father, (for reasons mentioned in the show), causing him to become a delinquent over time.
Walking to school one day, he meets a strange girl named Nagisa Furukawa. After a few
chance encounters, the two begin to slowly hang out - which starts to dramatically change Tomoya's daily life.
**To be honest, this is one anime I'd rather give a small amount of info about to hopefully get people interested in, than give a full-fledged synopsis. Go watch it!
On MAL I gave it a
9. The show, to me, is important, as it is one of the shows that helped get me into anime. It has great comic relief, a good story, and some of the best character development in anime, literally.
Other info:
The show also has a movie, an after story, and a "Tomoya edition," (Though only the former has been aired so far.)
Done by the studio - Kyoto Animation (The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, Full Metal Panic!: The Second Raid, Lucky Star).
