Nijuu Mensou no Musume centers around Mikamo Chizuko, a lonely girl, most commonly known as Chiko. After her parents died, she stayed with her aunt and uncle, who are slowly poisoning her in order to inherit her fortune, which she discovers after reading many detective novels.

As it turns out, her butler (i forgot his name -.-) turns out to be the phantom thief, nijuu mensou, who was working in her home under disguise. As he steals the Anastasia Ruby, Chiko's inheritance; he gives her a choice: Go with him or stay with them.

Watch Chiko's character magically change - After joining him and his gang of thieves, she learns to trust and deeply cares about the other members, especially nijuu-mensou, who always tells her to look, listen and think for oneself. Chiko admires nijuu-mensou a great deal; he is like a role model to her. She also learns many tricks and moves from the other members, and has the making of a great thief.

But after a big job, they are discovered. Most of the members are killed, and nijuu-mensou died. Or so Chiko thought. After returning to her villainous aunt (and discovering her uncle's death, who was poisoned by the wretched woman), a detective tells Chiko that nijuu-mensou might still be alive. Thus, Chiko becomes a detective, in order to look for him.


Nijuu-Mensou no Musume, created by Ohara Shinji-sensei, has a wonderful plot. The anime captured my attention and it keeps you wondering what's going to happen after every episode. The animation isn't very good though, but well it IS a seinen manga/anime after all. I give the music a marginal 6/10.

Voice actors? Needless to say - a 10/10. Hirano Aya, Matsukaze Masaya; creme de la creme of seiyuu, and Uchida Yuya. Yes, THAT Uchida Yuya, the rock and roll singer.

This anime has 22 epsodes and is still airing so i don't know what's going to happen and all and i'm still watching it -.-

Anyway, a 8/10 for it, since i don't believe in perfection or near-perfection xD.

My first review, tell me if it sucks, or if i gave too much info, or whatever i did that isn't right. Constructive C plz, no abuse.

And yes i'm expecting the worst. T___T
