i don't know if i would class it as supernatural but i used to have something called night terrors, luckily i haven't had them in a while

sometimes i would wake up i the middle of the night and would see something that i thought was real, the last time i had it i saw a woman in a white dress walking towards me and she tapped me in the shoulder, scared the crap outta me lmao
i know it wasn real but i was half asleep at the time lol, i was just waving my arms around trying to smack her pmsl
well anyways,
i dont believe in ghosts or anything like that, all i had was a sleeping problem and luckily its gone

Yes, I am a strong believer in the supernatural as I am a spiritualist myself and I have had many experience that science wouldn't be able to explain.

I don't believe in ghost as such (like the stereotypical ghost wandering around in white) but I do believe in an afterlife when the spirits of the deceased can contact select members of the realm of the living.

The sprit realm is a place where some people are said to have visited (an out of body experience). Some people have claimed to have left their body and gone to the spirit world and returned back to there own body afterwards. This might be know to you as atral projection, personally I believe that this can happen and that some people are lucky enough to have these experiences.

The more you open to the possibility of the supernatural the more likely it is that you will have a supernatural experience.

Some people are gifted by spirits, for example mediums of clairvoiance who are artists due to the spirit controlling their hand movements. I have seen this with my own eyes and the medium drew a picture of my gran while given me a message. She did not look at the paper while drawing the picture yet it looks exactly like me gran mother.

Yet if you do not believe in this sort of stuff then you wil just have to wait and see if you get a supernatural expirence to open your mind to other dimentions of this world.

Astral Projection in as interesting concept and I also believe in this. I used to be very sceptical about it (I still am to an extent) but I rememered as a child I had outerbody experinces, simular to the description of astral Projection. I hav tried several times to acchieve this again, but I can only get to the "electric shock" stage before I lose concentration. I think astral projection is related to lucid dreaming (the ability to control dreams) as I am a dualist, I think it is all part of a "mental realm" which exists alongside the physical realm. If anyone is interested in this, watch a film called "Waking Life".

This all might sound like rubbish to most ppl but as I said before, it makes sense to me that the human brain/mind has abilities that we havent learned/forgotten how to control!

Yea its true, the idea is that as children, since we are still learning, our minds are far more open to new experiences and since children are not as familliar with the boundaries of "reality" like adults are, children are more likely to trigger these abilities. As we grow up we accept and assume that what we see is all that is "real" and we find it harder to part with the physical world in front of us.

Again im sure a lot of ppl think this is crazy talk but its something I am really interested in.

Though at the same time our perceptions change as we get older through experiences. True we might develop paradigms that hinder a perception we had as a child but also we gain new perception on things we could not perceive as a child.

@gingerbread actually I can control my own dreams to an extent (depends what the state of my mental capabilities are) but I only developed this "ability" (idk if I would call it an ability) through first being able to control day dreams to create stories. Also I don't know about astral projection but I can sense a "presence" (of a person in particular) but this I accomplish by using my sense of hearing + awareness (a severe form of this is what I would call paranoia). Usually I think of someones mental "powers" are like a stand alone computer; communication only goes as far as that machine. I'm not saying anyone with a different viewpoint is wrong, I'm just stating my view.

I can influance my dreams like make descions witch always end up in me dieing and then waking up, bah. But like when im awake i can sort of 'blackout' and lose all awares of things around me and slip into 'my own little world'. and when some one is aproaching me from behind or enters a room and i've meet them ill know who it is with out seeing or hearing them. My sister descirbes it has having an aura that you can feel.

Thats really interesting, it sounds like u can lucid dream, but u only hav complete control when ur original dream ends....eg. u die, never heard that before. I can only lucid dream occasionallynow. I hav to keep checking to see if Im dreaming, but thts much easier said than done. I also beleive in auras and I think u can feel them, I always find ppl create atmospheres, not just through behaviour but through their presence. I havent been able to detect a person like u can tho, its like u have metaphysical security system lol.

@Blaze, yea I wouldnt really call it an "ability" either, just couldnt think of a better word, I could call it a "faculty" I suppose but most ppl wud think of the movie. lol. Are u able to lucid dream easily, I kno u said it depends on ur mental state but can u do it often? I used to b able to do it very easily as a child, now Im lucky if I get the chance.

@Gingerbread, I can still do it but I don't practice it regularly but I remember it probably first started when I was very small. But otherwise its easy to control daydreams and I can control dreams to an extent, but I cannot create the entire dream.

I think its difficult to fully control the setting of a dream but its possible to explore it. The last dream I was able to take control of was interesting cuz it was so weird. I actually realised I was dreaming cuz of all the weirdness, I remember being in a bar which was somehow combined with a giant pinball machine and a strange orinetal market! (dont ask lol) Upon realising it was a dream I was able to explore the settings and even leave them but not able to "reshape" them. It can be done with practice, One of my old teachers was able to do it, he could decide what he was going to dream of before going to bed, used to use his dreams to make important decisions and solve problems etc. Very cool. Anyways I guess this doesnt exactly count as supernatural stuff, gettin a little off topic lol
