Ok. I'd like to see the government crumble as much as the next Anarchist, but even I find the police search thing a bit hard to swallow. I'll do some research.

asa, i understand your concern....however its easy to be influenced by such videos.
I will admit that shit happens that we dont know about, and I dont trust the government, but alot of the stuff you mentioned has not been proven, and those videos only show one side of the argument. I'm not saying it happened or not, just suggesting that you fully understand both sides of an issue before commenting on it...
although I agree that we(USA) have a tyrannical government. (libertarianism ftw!)

Well, to contribute to this thread... The USA has been steadily going downhill.
The economy is f*cked... but that's not pertinent to the subject at hand.
The social system is again, f*cked. If you don't just on the bandwagon and do your own thing, you're criticized. If you look different, you're criticized. But once again, irrelevant to the thread.
The government and law system has been complete corrupted.
First, we have people pressing charges for completely stupid reasons. (McDonalds coffee is so hot, I burned myself! I demand $26 million!) The sad thing is, all these people can do this and get away with it.
Second, the law enforcement in this country has become completely run by people on powertrips. This is what leads to people being beat down, etc.
Third, the government sucks at lawmaking and controlling the citizens. Of course, everyone wants to be free and all, but look at the US citizens... A very large percentage consist of gangsters, drug addicts, criminals, welfare dependants, spoiled children. Should these people be allowed to exist? IMO, no. They do not contribute anything, are not a benefit to the country, and bring the country further into debt. If the government tries to pass a new law trying to control something, these people will obviously be against whatever law it is that is trying to regulate them.
Another thing, the "innocent until proven guilty" idea has been completely reversed. Last fall, I had a complication that I was going through the court system for. Because of this, I was let go from my job. During the time I was going through trial, I could not get a job because the pending charge would be listed on my background check and would prevent me from obtaining a job. I was eventually found innocent, which I was 100%, but it's prevented me from working a taxable job for many months. Innocent until proven guilty my ass... It's turned into Guilty Until Proven Innocent By Unreasonable Doubt.

the USA has gone down hill. I think that some of the police are racist or just plain mean, but not all of them are bad. you cant trust our government, they tell lies.
and what silverstone said "Guilty Until Proven Innocent" is so true!

You're German, One would think you'd be sufficiently versed in the rise of a police state from basic national history in school, it makes me wonder very much how you can believe some of what you're saying. We have free media, we have paranoia, it's one of the things we're great at, letting every half wit with a voice and a theory speak that theory and it's quite possibly the biggest example I can think of of why this whole thread makes no sense. We let our idiots yell, gather, spread their nonsense, and expect the average citizen to be well enough educated that they know the difference.
Yeah, there are problems, no the government didn't do 9/11.

How can you say that, when there is so much evidence piling up by the day?
If you collect all the information on the 9/11 "tragedy" along with everything else that's happened over the past few years (No. Bush had a lot, but not everything to do with it) You could probably write a book.

Ok, ive read this thread and Im gonna try and avoid bein too biased or repeating too much of the same, but heres a few points as I see them.
U cant sit here and mouth off about how summit is bullshit/truth if u cant even b bothered to watch them. Wether these videos are trying to warn u/scare u is immaterial if ur conclusion is based on judgement before examining or even considering the evidence.
Question everything, U owe it to urself as a human being. EVERTYTHING we have ever been told or taught has been passed through someone else, there has always been propaganda, there has always been bias and there has always been "chinese whispers". Consider everything U are ever told, especially by those who hold the power.

Yes were lucky to have free media and freedom of speech, so dont knock it. Lettin ppl voice their oppinion is no way a bad thing even if it paranoid and delluded, besides there is always some truth in fiction and vice versa. Throughout history, human beings hav always been trying to take each others freedom away. None of us can sit here thinking we are safe from all that. Read a book called "beyond Good and Evil" by a philosopher called Friedrich Nietzsche and read about "the will to power". Freedom is summit we hav to fight for and ignorance is not bliss.
The reason we hav so called "democracy" is so tht the average joe like u n me can hav our say and stop the bigwigs doin as they please wit us, in order to this u hav to listen to what ppl r trying to say, regadless of wether u think its all bullshit in the end. Lets also remember tht governements hav a tendancy to admit scandals they have commited by releasing previously classified documents like 70 yrs after they happened. What makes anyone think nothing is goin on behind out bcks now?
Coincedences mayb coincedences, but u will never kno tht, check the facts for urself before deciding anything ever.
Finally, this post wasnt supposed to b a rant and it was supposed to be neutral, im not attacking or defending anyone individually here, just putting things as I see it. I appologise to karek for dissecting ur post, it just happend to b a good example. And for anyone who read all this.......well done lol.
They say they are putting up fences to keep the wolves out, but maybe they are there to keep us locked IN

All I have to say about this is this: in the U.S. govn't (or at least the one the American forefathers thought of *cough* laissez faire *cough*), the federal govn't can only respond to the deeds and laws that the state govn'ts (which, can only respond to the deeds and laws that the people of that specific state calls for), call for, in which case develops a system of checks and balances, with the federal govn't in charge of defense of our borders, but unable to call war or call for emergency laws without 3/4 (or it may be 2/3, I'm sorry to say, but I'm not 100% sure about this) state approval, and for a state to give their approval to the federal govn't, it needs the consent of their citizens, thus giving power to the citizens of the U.S. to create the country as they wish. Now, let's look at some of the current laws passed by the U.S. govn't that disintegrates the American constitution: Patriot Act (one of the most hypocritical law names), Military Comissions act (this one's not clear at all I'll admit, but it never defines accurately what a "terrorist" is), and the 4th amendment (yeah, one of our own amendments was never ratified by 2/3 (or 3/4, wish I knew) aka the one that allows the FDR (federal reserve, aka the guys who lend our own govn't $ that is ultimately worthless (it's not backed up by anything), and then forces them to pay interest, thus throwing them into debt) to force us to pay the income tax, when ironically, there is no law forcing us to pay this tax whatsoever (if wish to disprove this, then simply put the URL of where you found this law, trust me, you won't find one). And a funny fact about the FDR, if they say that the U.S. needs them to run this country properly, then why did we run ourselves perfectly well (in fact, possibly better), before 1914, when the FDR was formed? Sorry for the long rant, ultimately though, these are just my opinions that I have the right to post
