Anaimal rights has become a much debated topic in todays society...here is my opinion..then i would love to hear and consider yours... i love animals they are my favorite things in the world, but i do not believe that animals should have rights..because the next question or problem would be where to draw the line...would slugs get the same rights as a dog? now dont get me wrong i think we should treat animals well and kindly but they were put on earth for human use.i have strong opinions about this and many other things i couild say but i wont waste all my arguments now..i want to hear you opinion.

I agree basically in the same sense.

We should love our animals and treat them well, but to give them nothing in their favor. Animals have no interest in gaining rights, so why give rights to something when they have no use for it in the first place? They disregard anything besides Fight/sleep/kill/eat/etc. or anything else and this is if they're trained to do other things.

This is my personal opinion but eh, I just see no reason to give them rights.

Just love the animal to you're best ability and treat them well and that's all they need.

Unless they're wild animals then I don't think they'd really love attention much....

I believe that they should be treated nicely and all that but i also believe that we shouldn't be able to put them down no matter the cause we shouldn't be able to kill a poor defenseless animal they should be able to live their life unless they attacked AND killed someone then thats the only acceptable reason

ya i understand that..about the killing thing though i cant say that i would agree with that i love steak and such a lil too much..but i dont like hunting and i believe if they are to be killed it should be as humane as possible.. and another thing about the killling some said that animals shouldnt be killed unless they killed or attacked a person now thats i good point but i also think if the animal is suffering and there is no hope for recovery then it should be put down as well....

I'm a hunter and I come from a long line of hunters and I have to disagree. Hunting (if done with respect to the animal that you are hunting) is far more humane than most cattle ranches. Also you haven't tasted a steak until you've had a fresh tenderloin from a deer or elk.

Do I believe that animals should have rights? No. Should there be more laws in place protecting and setting a level of care for domesticated animals? Yes. There should also be more and stricter laws regarding the destruction of animal habitats, but that is just my opinion as a hunter.

i like that halfheart...and im not dissing hunters my mother and stepfather both hunt but my aim sux and im bound to do more harm than good so ill let the experts do the hunting, and u r right about the cattle ranches ive been part of the ffa organization for three years and i have been to several cattle ranches and its enough to make a person sick at how they treat them..so i believe you have a good point..

Heh no offense taken, and there are alot of hunters that shouldn't hunt. Unfortunately, the laws regarding this are fairly lax and even if they weren't there aren't enough game wardens to enforce them. Up here were I live there's only 1 warden for almost 75-125 mi. of country, and it gets pretty crazy when hunting season rolls around. My dad reports multiple offenses every year but there just isn't the manpower to enforce them.

Don't go assuming that to be the case. Maybe they were put here to make sure our numbers don't get to big. However, since we got guns, we've been killing them off instead.... All animals should have at least one right:

They can not be harmed or killed without proof they could be dangerous. Ya tink?

Avankiri if rights would honostly help i would go for it but no animal will ever recognize that it has rights..and nobody has answered where they think they would draw the line on animals rights
