When those ppl at CERN finally turn on the supercollider, and hopefully find the higgs particle (hicks particle? I dunno) we shud at least b a little closer to working out how the hell we got here. Either that or a blackhole will open and compress all to a singularity.....YAY lol

lmao, right so ur basically claiming that all the greatest minds throughout history were wasting their time trying to work towards answering the greatest question...well then I need to stand up and applaud u, u really do amuse me. As for some of histories greatest minds, the question about the beginning of the universe may have crossed their minds at some point in their lives but ultimately those individuals would focus on what could actually be studied, observed, researched and documented.

I'm sorry if we were all wasting time thinking about how the world came to be...we would never advance. Human ambition and focused imagination is why our species continues to advance (the opposable thumb also played a huge role). Whether it was a need for personal recognition and/or social/professional advancement...ultimately it was a need for a higher quality of life for that individual.
