My beef with liscence holders!!!

WTF!!! Why do they try to take away our anime? Its not like people are not going to buy their product if it gets posted on a anime website. Hell I've bought quite a few anime dvd's after watching the full series and I will continue to. Its try before you buy in my book. I guess liscence holders are money loving whores.

Think about it like this:
If you had made an anime that made the money to support your family, would you want to see other people ripping you and your family off by burning it and putting it all over the internet for free?

I get what your saying. Like I said its try before you buy. I still plan on buying any anime I watch for free online.

Well you watch anime XD and thats true *sobs* but I buy Naruto stuff all the time. I have like 20 naruto action figures. I got some from Chinatown XD

Well I disagree, I mean yes some don't buy at all, but thanks to the internet a lot of people discover certain animes. I myself wasn't w big anime fan until I got a computer, so yes the internet does intrude on buisnes, but it also adds buisnes. In the long run the internet gives these anime creators a lot more buisnes than it would normally have. The only reason they take it away is because they're greedy. Nothing more.

It's their decision to do what they want with it.
If they made it soley for profit, I don't think they want everyone to watch it for free on the internet.

They made it, they have every right to do whatever they want with what was made.

They can simply have it taken down from every site they find and even stop selling it..then get rid of everything if they wanted to.

It sucks but, eh...their decision.

its because of people like me...I watch all my anime online I never buy DVD's and writers iono about anime but on TV shows they get paid by a percentage on how many people buy the DVDs and they are losing money when their sales lower yet the popularity of the anime increases because of websites like zomganime so just let them block anime its not like they will ever control it since people will keep uploading it

Well the way I see it is like this, IF the Anime producers released the Anime with decent dubs, or even with subtitles that were done well, HALF AS WELL as the FREE Fansubbers who do it, I would buy the Anime.

But sadly, they release the anime years later than what we can get on the web, and they release it with shitty dubs and bad quality. Why buy a half assed product when you can get it done well for free?

I'm still surprised that companies like Funimation havn't caught onto this yet and at least tried to create subs half as well as fansubbers. Or even release the Anime for Americans on time. If they did that rather than sending out Cease and Desist letters, they would make a lot more money.

I bought FMA because the dubs where better than the Jap version and they didn't cut anything out, so did a lot of other people.

That's very true, Storm. I can't watch Tenchi Muyo in the subbed version. It just doesn't sound right to me.

If other dubbers did half as good a job as they did on that series, than I wouldn't have any complaints. But, for a guy like me with a limited income and an ever-increasing appetite for anime, the internet is an absolute necessity.

I don't watch regular television, mainly cuz it sucks, but that's besides the point. My point is that anime is a serious undertaking for me, and without the internet, my options would be increasingly more limited.

anyway if ur moaning cos the anime removed from our list, go read over that same post a few hundred times then come back and tell me why ya shouldnt be moaning.

We aren't complaining about the post. We're discussing our opinions on the topic. If license holders actually released decent products they'd get more service, instead of everyone neglecting them and downloading. Besides they make more money on merchandising than anything else (Remember how bad Pokemon and YuGiOh were?). But yes in the end pirating is wrong.
