There have been loads of theories and dates for the Apocolypse (9-9-99, 2000, 2002, 2008). The fact yet another one pops up out of the blue doesn't really surprise me.

Talking in a non-religious way, the world could end at any moment.
There is no way to be 100% sure on how old the sun is, as it will eventually die out. The pre-stages of it's death will kill us very fast, so we wouldn't really get what was happening.

I think that even if the world ends (which it wont). Right now in time its more likely that an atomic war would end the world.

I dont think it will end then and there obviously arent that many scientist predicting it or it would be more main stream news

We also have a bigger chance of an end of humanity catastrophe in2036 when that meteor/comet is suppose to come really close to earth and possible hit us

WERE ALL GOING TO DIE lol. For as long as I can remember theres always been someone telling us hhe world is going to end due to meteorites, volcanoes, collisions of planets, global warming, nuclear war etc etc etc. The thing we need to worry about is one day someone will say "the worlds going to end....no really" and none of us will believe it cuz weve been fed this shit several times year for the whole of our lives over and over again......and then a meteroite lands in a volcano and awakes the dead and starts a nuclear war and we all die lol.

Is this supposed to be a joke? The author of the original thread claimed that scientific experts were "genuinely predict[ing]" that the world would end in five years, and the first thing that he/she cites as evidence is the Mayan Calendar. Granted, the author didn't actually believe that the world would end in five years, but if everyone in the world started reasoning like this, then yes, the world would end, I hope.

It's probably not true and I don't believe it. They said in 2000 the world was going to end too but nothing happened. Also they said in 6/6/06 there would be a massacre or something bad would happen. Nothing bad happened *except on runescape* which is a RPG (roll playing game) game.

its ok everyone were saved we can all have a party round at my nuclear bunker your all invited lol. but seriously even the great not Michel de Nostredame was correct about the world ending lol. seriously i think its nothing to worrie about. if it does happen so what think your lucky you got to see this happen, because we all die sometime dont we...
