A lot of people have been talking about the world ending in 2012. I dont think this is true, but who knows, here's a person who threw out a lot of facts. Mind you I havn't checked his sources, other than the Mayan theory, which is true.
welll it would be interesting to see what would happen.
but no, im thinking not 2012.
and i don't think the world will end, end like *boom* end. because you know it's nature, the earth will recover, maybe. imagine it like this, umm well the volcano spurts up the earth's insides and millions of years later, the insides that the earth spewed OUTSIDE would go back inside, and it'll keep renewing itself maybe.
meh im just saying lol. and well, unless the sun explodes, i say we have a very high chance of surviving past 2012, unless you're like 90 this year =___=
tell me if u dont understand lol i suck at stuff like this =.=

:O all wrong, don't want to go into detail here is a short explantion.
1) Why should be believe the mayans? The Chinese were much better than them and never thought of it
2) Solar storms don't kill anyone
3) CERN is the atom smasher in question, and if it does work we will die in a month not 2012
4) Oh noes, lets start believing the bible!!
5) The super volcano at best can only take about 1/8 of the world
6) When mathematicians say major event they mean some sort of tsunami, we are exaggerating every death now
7) Oh hi, you know point 2? The magnetic field is saving us but we died anyway, so what's the use of it? (also it won't swap in 2012, and it only gets weaker and not disappear)
I think it's all a lie, and the thing behind the Mayan calender is that it ends on December 21 2012, it never states anywhere that the world will end on that day. The reason people use the Mayan calender is because of a coinsidence of the year it ends.
A Solar Storm is EXTREMELY unlikely to kill us, nothing moe to that, it's all a load of bs the sun has always acted wierd at random times, like all other things it is nature.
The atom smasher I doubt will kill us, if there's a possibility on that I would think that they would pull the plug on the project. I don't know too much on it, but even so it wouldn't kill us in a day.
Right, because religion has never before "predicted" Armageddon. The bible has been interpreted many times before to state a specific date, but if you were to read the bible in it Jesus himself states that no one, but god knows the date, not even Jesus or the angels know it. So that blows religion theory out teh window.
A super Volcano can majorly hurt living beings on Earth, but it can not wipe out the human race. At the worst it would only cause a miny Ice Age, and humans have lived through them in the past, even before all our technology and crap.
Exactly how may someone predict nature? I highly doubt math can actually predict when nature is going to kill us, if math could predict nature, why didn't it predict the major earthquake that struck Asia?
I don't know crap about magnetic fields so I won't say anything about that one.
I think its sad that some people get freaked out by these kind of things...
I bet 200 bucks on the world not ending. Who takes the bets by the way?
And ou guys who belive it, go ahead and bet! It wont hurt, because you'll die anyways, right?
