what i believe is that there is a god and he made himself known to our ancestors and they went and made different religions off of it without him telling them too they all just took what they thought we should all do and told them that god said it when he possibly didnt but i believe that there is one god that all religions are not wrong just misguided honestly the movie dogma (yes with jay and silent bob) said it "its not what they believe it that they believe" although i dont entirely know if there is a heaven or hell but i really dont think that there is no god it all just seems a little too convienent that and i find more flaws in science than in the bible,officially im catholic that is pretty much what i think if i remember anything else ill edit it

i wont go into this debate cuz, well i dont give a flying crap about religion, all i say is TO HELL WITH THE JEHOVA WITNESSES WHO WAKE ME UP EVERY SUNDAY AT 6AM TO BRING ME A MESSAGE I DONT WANT TO HEAR...... thank you.

i do believe in God and normally i would get mad at someone trash talking God but to be honest i agree with most of you. im a Seventh Day Adventist so basically this whole religion is centered around God and the bible. but this whole religion thing is getting on my nerves because of the sabbath. its like this EVERY friday night i have to go sit in the living room with everyone and OPEN the sabbath then the sabbath ends at saturday night i have to go sit with everyone to CLOSE the sabbath. and i have to go to church on saturday mornings. the bible says that after the creation God rested in the SEVENTH day (hence the name Seventh Day Adventists). so that means saturday is a day of rest. BUT IM NOT DOING ANY DAMN RESTING IF I HAVE TO WAKE UP TO GO TO DAMN CHURCH

I just hate when people say they "know" he exists.
If they "knew" he existed, then everyone would believe it. But they don't so they don't "know"

I'm not really sure what I believe. I was raised a Lutheran, went through confirmation & all that. Once I graduated and moved out of my parents house, I slowly lost interest in the church. I feel that there is something out there, something bigger than ourselves, something of a spiritual essence. I'm just not sure I want to label that "God."

Ne way....I think that most religions are hypicritacal (mainly talking about religions that stem, corelate, and fall under the branch of christianity)
Popular Saying "If you dont follow our God you will burn in hell" (hell is preached to be an unimaginable punishment and torture for eternity) If your god is good and great and is all forgiving and what not why would a place like this exist for people who dont do his willing... I mean the human mind cant comprehend "unimaginable punishment and torture or eternity" and if they could we all probably be saints. Thereore how can your God damn people to a place such as this...Im not saying that people are free to do as they plz and in return expect to be let off scott free...I beleve there is sum sort of punishment but not for eternity......so what im trying to say is it is jus plain cruel to punish someone w/ torture and pain that is beyond comprehension for all eternity for doing somthing wrong. On another note how many people here today and say confidently that if we all where guarnteed to go to this so called "heaven", that she/he would still go to church, temple, synogod or what ever ur place of worship is and worship his/her god on a reg......

Im believe there is a god simply because I refuse, no I cannot comprehend that everything just appeared.
I beleve that good and evil doesnt exist..... just what society says is ok and not ok does. So I usually try do what society deems as ok, becuase life is easier that way.
I want to believe there is something more after death cuz if there isn't that would be no fun....
People ask me what my religion is all the time... well I dont have one single one...I beleve in god and that jesus was a man that did a lot of good...karma is real....reincarnation is a possibility but that would suck for suicide people....there being other gods is a possibility however until proven Ill believe in one...so im a lil of everything

People say we shouldnt believe everything we read> Most religious books are written by Mankind....should we believe them >>>>Koran, Torah, Bible, etc...

Well one thing that you should take into idea about christians such as myself is that we are'nt perfect little angels. Also don't look at christians for an example of God instead look at an example of Jesus instead. Also Christians should not force religion upon people. Because when God created the world allowed you the amazing Gift of choice.

this is both right and wrong. yes we arent perfect, we are human beings, we are indeed fallible. that being said

this is the wrong part. we are called to emulate and show others the love of christ on a daily basis. it can be something as simple as helping someone with something, consoling someone, and living out the daily word of God. Also, the example of God and Jesus is not wholly true, God is Jesus, thats the meaning of the holy trinity, the holy spirit as well. to embrace one is to embrace them all, to emulate one is to emulate them all. you cant have without the other. ill not explain this point further except for the fact that they exist together 3 in 1, not seperate. please clarify in the future udawg.

Jesus says in John 12: 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on Me should not abide in darkness.

the literal meaning of this verse in relation to being a light unto the world is this. God calls us all to be a light to our fellow man, that through our actions we would light the way to jesus christ. as we glorify christ in our thoughts, actions, and speech we would also show our fellow the light and love of christ and in doing so lead them to his love.
