CloverField
Okay i just managed to download the movie 'CloverField' and i watched it.
Read up about it here
And i advise you, do NOT go and pay money to see this film. It is utter crap, like seriously. If you want to see it that badly just download it. But like i said its really crap.
The filming in this movie is uttercrap, its done from the point of view of the guy who is running from the monster, like he is filming and thats what you see, the camera does not stop moving and you get a headache from it, and the ending was so shit aswell.
Bottom line, dont see this movie, all the hype that lead up to it was utter crap. This movie is gay and i advise you dont go see it.
I want my bandwidth back aswell.
UPDATE: I dont think i was clear enough. I did end up paying to go and see this movie with a couple of friends and i still dont like it. I prefer I am Legend over this anytime. And remember this is my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you shoundnt base your decison on whether to see this move or not based on my opinion hell you might like it. Yeah paradox i know, but i dont want to start a fight.

Yay, but seriously its bad. I download a camera version of it and at the end of the movie you can hear everyone saying. 'What is that all?' 'What the hell that was crap!' and so on.

maybe the reason you watching it was crap, because your watching a cam version of a cam movie!@!
its a great movie,
there isnt supposed to be a story line, the only thing is that its supposed to be intense
and that your supposed to feel like your in the camera mans shoes, and the movie does that well.
the movie itself is supposed to make you ask questions. the ending it self is up to how u imagine.
thats how J. J. Abrams makes his stories eg LOST, (ask questions make youre own theories)
Its a wonderful movie. dont let a downloaded cam version ruin it.
I'd give it a 8 out of 10.. I would say its better than I Am Legend.
Watch it because you want to enjoy it, not for the story.

The meaning of clover field for the army is multiple sightings of the unknown. So if you take that into consideration, it could give you a better understanding of the movie. I watched the movie at the theater tonight and was able to see the movie in full. I thought it was a great movie, but at the end like most anime leaves you at a blank. Wondering what could of happened. If you watched a cam version of this movie, it would be like watching through another camera of a camera version of a film. So that is probably why you didn’t like the film, you probably couldn’t see what was happening.
In the end, it was a good movie and if you are able to understand the abstract part of the film I think you would like this movie.

I thought this movie would be extremely bad since I read that it was all supposedly shot from a handheld camera. I am not going to see this movie......Meet the Spartans looks good for this Friday.

From my taste, I think Cloverfield was an excellent movie. It's completely different from all the normal perspectives that most movies take. The camera pans left.. pans right.. scene change.. you see the monster in the back but the hero doesn't know. Those elements eventually make it plain and simple. What makes it good is the story line.
However, with Cloverfield, you're always on the edge of the seat. You don't get to know what's gonna happen next. You're completely in the dark and the only way to know whats gonna happen next is to keep watching. Yes, the excessive camera movement can take its toll on those who have motion sickness. The movie theater where I watched it at posted a disclaimer about the excessive movements. Even with that disclaimer, it's what separated this movie from everything else. You really don't get a good glimpse of the monster until later on through the movie.
As for the ending, I think they could've done much better. Or at least not make it so subtle. Here's a small hint to those who are about to watch it!
When the final scene plays, where the two people are taking an aerial shot of the ocean, pay attention to the upper right portion of the scene. Once you do that, everything will make sense.
Well, that's my rant. The movie has some pros and cons. You won't really enjoy the movie if you experience motion sickness, but if you wanna see something original, watch Cloverfield.

WOW 100% agree with this comment, I loved the movie, I even kinda loved the end, but they should have made it a bit more obvious with the thing to he right at the last scene. I just saw it tonight and every single moment, i was watching, I thought of what would happen were I there, and you really see how the emotions of the characters are true to what humans are like,
I think everyone should see it once on like a cheaper day and enjoy the movie.

Eh,
I feel the same way. Bought a ticket for it, saw about 30 minutes got up, threw away the popcorn (Kept the soda) got in the car and sat for a few seconds then went, "WTF!" lol. Honestly, if you feel the urge to watch it, at least download a screener first before you spent your money. I too was all hyped up about it cause it seem to be something "Godzilla kind" But in the end, I judge them to actually have copied the Godzilla concept and oh guess what, not pay a pro. cameraman to record the freakin' movie lol "Ah let the actors film it, it'll be more fun!" Yea for you but not for us. True, Enigma, headache at 16 minutes into the movie, probably why I left, hehe . Seems they have a nice story, but wrong way to show it. I was more touched by the movie Bridge to Terrabithia when the girl dies(Still am). IMO.
Also, nice Daft Punk Sig, Yak.
PS- Anyone seen We Are Spartans? Heard bad things but haven't checked it out.
