Final Fantasy VIII fanfiction. Needs a name
[It's not much. It's just about the opening cutscene, and why it happened. Yes, I am still working on it. I'll come back every now and then and add a little more.]
Grumbling, Squall Leonhart pressed the switch on his alarm clock and slowly sat up. It was 6:00 in the morning, but Garden was still pretty quiet. Yawning, he stood from his bed, stretching a bit. The first thing he did was to open the case beside his bed and remove Revolver, his gunblade, from it. Afterwards, Squall dressed in his usual outfit.
Black jeans, his double belt, black combat boots, Revolver in a make-shift sheathe. His fighting gloves, a white tank top, the Griever chain, and a black jacket with a fur trim around the head area. Stretching a second time, he walked outside of his dorm room and into the hallway. It was still a little dark.
At 6:05 A.M., Squall stood outside Balamb Garden. Yawning a little one last time, he turned from the paved road and headed towards the Fire Cavern, to battle and tame Ifrit, the Guardian Force of Fire...That plan didn't go so well, once Seifer Almasy got in the way.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Squall. Where ya heading to, 'buddy'?" Seifer teased Squall a bit, already drawing Hyperion, his own gunblade. "You were going to the Fire Cavern, weren't you?"
Squall shrugged. "And if I was?" He wasn't trying to act cool at all. Squall didn't see any reason to fight Seifer. He had to get that Guardian Force and become a member of SeeD as soon as possible...But then again, Seifer had an annoying mouth, and Squall was tired of it. So if he wanted a fight, he had one. Squall drew Revolver. "Are you ready, Squall?" Seifer asked, raising Hyperion.
Before Squall answered, he threw Revolver into the air. When it came down, he put his hand around the trigger, drew it from the ground, and charged at Seifer. The fight had begun.
