Halo 3: Recon

AKA: Halo 4.

I swear, I'm not Rickrollin' ya! Bungie, last week, announced their new game: Halo 3: Recon. It's an expansion pack to Halo 3 (So, yes, you do need Halo 3 for it to work.).

New Things:

New Player Character: You won't be the Chief in this one.
New Campaign: It takes place after you leave Earth in Halo 2.
New Multiplayer: It will have its own multiplayer, complete with forge and Co-op.
New Weapons: In the teaser, a new weapon is shown in the hands of an ODST. While it is known that the player character will, in fact, be an ODST, it is unknown as to whether the one in the teaser is the player character. It's probably safe to assume, however.)

Things Returning:

The Covenant: This should be full of H3 Brutes, as you can see in the video.
Good, ole, Halo 3 weapons: See what the Brutes are holding?
The Halo 3 Engine: It's an expansion pack, and therefore runs on the H3 Engine.
Marines: Come on, men! The Corps ain't payin' us by the hour!

... True, Halo 3 was a disappointment for me, but I'm a little excited. I'd definitely play it, but I am excited.

Iäm over excited I love the Halo games the best game in it's category that's one thing for sure

Recon is gonna be awsome to bad that we have to wait a whole year

hmmm... i dont know what to think about new halo coming up :/

their kinda stretching the whole halo story atm.. i think halo 3 should be the last

just start a new game with complete new story etc.

but dont get me wrong

halo was awsome

They are working on a new game (possibly a new Marathon, though even that is unknown.) This, however, is to fill the gap between Halo 2 and 3. I can't wait for the new game, though.

Halo 1 and 2 were good. 3 was a disappointment. What is with you and ripping on every new gaming device/software on this forum?

Halo 2 and Halo 3 were decent. It was nice to play the game from a different perspective as an Elite in Halo 2. Should be interesting to play as an ODST since you don't have any shields. Anyways i am excited about the expansion.

I JUST REALIZED THAT! Wow... No shields... There's gotta be some sort of gameplay balancer, then, doesn't there... Halo 1 was win sauce. Halo 2 had some win in it. Halo 3, though... What is with Bungie and non-endings?

@IceWolf: The hype is because people keep hoping the next Halo will be as good as the first...

this isn't gonna be the last halo game >.> Masterchief is still alive so there will be a sequel in where you can play him.
