Do people in real-life actually say names 24/7? As in, you know how when your talking to your friend and you guys just chat with-out saying the other persons name? In anime I noticed that they keep bringing up their names almost everytime they talked. Strange isn't it?

Not really. Anime is usually done the same way they do so in real life Japan. And besides, who cares?

If you're watching anime that is in Japanese, then yes, you'll most likely hear them say the other person's name. In Japan, it's a bit rude to address someone as "You" or anything else for that manner. So they always use names to address someone. Sometimes they user their own names when they talk about things they did.

Its due to the japanese culture and also the japanese language, u ll probs notice when talking to someone and it says some like "he hasnt came to school in days" u ll here the persons name even though the sub says 'he' tis just the language.

and also dont look to far into things

I usually call my friends by a nickname or say something like buddy, for teachers and people of a higher authority I usually say Sir, or Miss (except math teacher i call her by her first name ;D) but i could see it being a culture thing in jap animes. The wording they use in animes such as Afro Samurai, and other american animes is very different from the subs/dubs of jap animes

It's the Japanese culture. You might not believe it but people also greet eachother like they do in anime series such as clannad. They say thanks all the time etcetc...

Well when i am with friends i don't use there names or nicknames. When i say something to someone the person i am talking to knows that i am talking to him, even i didn't mention his name while talking.
For example i am with 3 friends and then i say: "Nvm we two are going to gym, catch up with you later" i didn't mention any names or nicknames everyone knows who i was talking too.
