Well tbh, I'm pretty nooby at sigs lol, so I wouldn't know how to make is smaller without losing quality, maybe, when you first upload the pic, make it small, render it w.e, then use the pen/pencil/paint tool to outline it and stuff, and use diff colours in certain areas w/ shading.

Edit: ah yeah ive made my own thread for renders and as you can see i added my sig to render.Its not so good but i will do for start.Btw that sign is from Soul Eater mark on "Medusa's Witch" hat

Edit2: One more question how do i upload on planet renders if i dont have Originals URL of pic i used to get render.
Becuase mostly i download full pic packs from emgaupload and other sites .
