I've downloaded new brushes for gimp 2.0 but I dont have a clue as to how I'm supposed to get them to come up on gimp. Where exactly do I need to save the brush files so that I can access them?

i have no idea how to work with gimp
but maybe it's a bit like photoshop ..
what i do when i have new brushes is ...
1. unzip it
2. put it in my brushes folder (i made a folder on my desktop)
3. go to photoshop
4. click in the upper right corner on the tab Brushes
5. click on the arrow that apears next to it
6. click present manager
7. load your brushes
8. click done
after that you should be able to use them

if it's totally different i suggest you just google
"loading brushes to gimp" or so

Err, i am using Mac OS X but i think it's similar o.o

Unzip the Brushes
Copy The Brushes
Go into your Gimp Folder
Then into Resources
Then into Share
Then Into Gimp
Then into 2.0
Then into Brushes
And paste it there
If the brushes do not appear, refresh the window

That's in Mac OS X O.o but if not, do as sÖph said, google ^^
