Hmmmm =] you know how to use Photoshop for sure that is but try use some brushses =] I kinda liked the last one but well good for starters ^^ But the second one was like "Black background and a render slap on" =/ Well it's it's just about working.

Brushes and blending, those are the two main factors your missing.

Brushes
Download from www.deviantart.com

Blending
Learn from Tutorials on www.deviantart.com

May take some time, just find easy tutorials ect.
