Popout Sig

People have been going crazy over these types of sigs. (Deviette and sOph both make great popouts so its no suprise). It is because of this, that i had a go at making them, and i would like some (constructive) criticism.

Heres the first one I made:

the 2nd one looks best

good job!
the only thing i don't really like is the hand going over the border at the botom..
the border should be above the hand imo
& maybe add shadow?

Is the image in the first one squished very slightly? Not sure about the boarder of the image, looks like it's quite a bluey glow, when the rest of the image is browny. Apart from that it's very nice.

Like it, I see you used the same colours in the back as the image, well. Like it. Was the image cut off on the left, because he's lost some of his arm ... or is it ment to be like that? I normally will add parts to pictures if it's missing and I'm having it pop out.

One point I'd like to make about both of them though, on the bottom, if you continue the border round, over the image, it gives more enthesis to the popy out bit.

Oh and a handy bit of advise (I see you've done it with the 2nd one), remeber that the very top of the box get most of the attention in a sig like this. (normally because it's the middle-ish, if it's a very small sig, then take this from about the middle, vertically, point) so there should be mostly points of interest around that area. (that's why most of my eyes are at that level)

The arm looks like its missing a bit because its white and you cant see it on a white background. I think ill add some shadow which should fix that and make it look better. Ill put a border over the hand too. Ill post results tommorow. BTW thanks a bunch for the advise. I feel honoured to have 2 great gfx artists adknowledge my work

It's nicer, as a shadow, I think it's going the wrong direction in the terms of the image. The light coming from the right yes?

Other than that I think that it is much better, the shadow gives it some more enthesis of the poped out bit, and the bottom boarder is very much so of an improvement IMHO.

Ooo, and I think the text is out of line now you put in the other letter. (I didn't notice that, I'm useless at jap)

The shadow is a bit off but i cant be asked to change the sig anymore. Ill keep it in mind for my next one and again thanks for the tips.

1st one : Nice Background, im loving the grainy effect, but the renders looks a bit stretched and doesn't blend very well despite the colours are the same.

2nd one : Amazing, you've improved loads, everything blends and its looks Hotttt.
