gimps similar to photoshop, its what I use to make my sigs/avatars. It takes a while to learn but the tuts are really helpful.

Yeah, it's great and free! I have photoshop, so I don't really use it, but Gimp is definitely awesome.

Gimp is photoshop. Anything that you can do in Photoshop you can do on Gimp, it might just take a little more work. I personally have both, but I prefer Gimp as I know how to work it better.
