yes yes in all of my boredom sitting in front of this infernal screen i have made a signature or 2...ok i made 3 just today none of them very good but i figured why not post them here and get better at it?

my 2nd attempt at a signature...you do not even want to see my first attempt

i figured since i made a sub zero one why not scorpion though i put alot less effort into this one

my first signature thats not Mortal Kombat based and i think it turned out well for my skills

im getting to start to understand how to do some of the stuff now
and i just realized i didnt put my name on this one..o well

still messing around with distortion

the next one in the series

i just added my name to it

my GoW one hopefully this is better

i wanted to remake my Nao one and i think that it is a lot better

really though i love that sig

i made it for my sister because i got bored and wanted to learn how to make renders note i did it in like 5 minutes dont rate it

one i finally got to make after running around for 10 days straight and yes i really like mortal kombat

to try and make up for some lost time i have made another

i got inspired by Brute Force

my first try at a pop out but i messed up on it

so i made another one and yes i know the fire messed up

i wish i knew how to not put it right in the middle

MK sigs rule

felt like making a Zelda signature and it seems like i never see ganondorf so i decided to make one

idk i saw it and thought it would go good for a pop out and the background is supposed to be fire but idk

with this i see so much more i could have done with it

i made 2 of the same render to see which i could do better free style or tut and 2 out of 3 said that the one i made free style was better so...awesome btw its the one with my name on it

Lol it's good for your first few, if you want to improve by following tutorials go to Gimptalk.com It's really good, I learned a few great techniques from there.

Not bad for first attempts. I dislike big blocky signatures, personally, though. (But really, you didn't do a halfbad job.)

Yeah, it just makes them seem more signature like and they're more pleasing. I like the one you're using now, by the way.

Hey I use photoshop and I'm not to bad with it truthfully. I can help you out.

The biggest mistake I see you making now is that you aren't blending the render in with the background. It seems you like you're just making an abstract background and then slapping the render on then throwing in a couple effects.

Also a sig size is usually around 100x420.

Okay when making a sig think of it like this. Your render is your focal(my sig has double focals). Slap the render on somewhere; try not to center it as that can be boring; definitely when the render is so big that you only get a head shot.

Never have anything covering the render as it is the focal(focus of the sig). A few effects here and there are ok.

When you're making a sig you should have some type of idea as to how you want your sig to look. The background should flow with the render. More like in your sparta sig. Not like in the Scorpion from M-Kombat sig.

And as for text. That can mess a sig up sometimes. A lot actually. You don't always have to put your name in it. And if you do put text in a sig then it shouldn't be plain boring text and it shouldn't be overly fancy/cursive text. It shouldn't be super big as it takes away from the focal and it shouldn't be super small as it is then unseen. The text doesn't have to be in the middle of the sig all the time a nice side place can be nice too. In some sigs maybe the text would go better if it was in the middle. That doesn't matter as long as it goes with the sigs flow.

Look's cool for a newb though, nice improvement's. My fav. was the last one. ^^ Dunno, maybe it's just my taste. :] Anyways, just keep trying and read some tutorials.

it would be easier to just say your getting better as you get along, you should see my first attempts XD (seriously) lol anyways keep it up in no time you'll get even better after reading some tutorials
