Well the anime is Howl's Moving Castle (It's a film by studio Ghibli) But the image is done by Tukiji Nao as part of a stationary set.

Iam guessing it was easier b/c of the white background.

Well, it wasn't that much easier. It took some time working out what parts were hair, and what was background on some points. I think I've got it right though.

Oh, and for anyone in the know, I used the pen tool, not A) the polygon lasso, or B) the magic wand tool. That's how I get the nice smooth edges.
