it depends on which kind of raid you want to set up. and also are you doing sata 1.5 or sata 3? and if its not recognizing the sata drive go to the bios and make sure that the sata is enabled then go to windows device manager and make sure the sata is showing up there. when i worked in the tech shop sometimes we had to put it in an external device and reformat it before windows would recognize it. if you want to do a raid the best thing to do is make sure the drives are the same size as well.

try to update your mobo drivers using a flash drive as a soft boot and load the drivers from the flash drive to your mobo and once in the bios make sure sata is enabled. is windows already loaded on the sata drive or no?

ok, download motherboard drivers from the manufacturers website. put them on a floppy disk or CD, softboot from there. update drivers. restart the computer. make sure the drivers have been updated, set the bios settings to what they need to be. restart computer, put in windows CD and try to install normally from there, it may ask to partition/format/etc the hard drive and it should take a while.

It can't be RAID drivers. RAID is for more than 1 drive.
In your BIOS settings, look for a hard drive setting. There should be options for Disabled, Legacy, and Enhanced. It's been a while since I messed with those, but each is for allowing certain types of drives, and one is to allow both.

do you not have a blank cd laying around that you can burn the drivers onto? or does the motherboard not support that feature?

the only cd i got with my MSI motherboard was a tutorial and such with manuals and all that good stuff on them. i really can think of no other way to get the drivers on to your comp bro. if you have no blank cd's, no flash drive, no ide drive to update from then i have no clue left. maybe silverstone knows something i dont
