As far as I know it's not licensed. Which means some guy from japan is suppose to send you the DCMA letter, go ask them about it and you might get out of this (if there is actually a punishment for this).

No, I received no legal punishment. Only a warning from my ISP & Aniplex's request that I remove the file from my system. The problem is actually from the ISP & their 3 strikes policy. If you get caught violating their terms three times, they permanently stop your service. I work from home & need my internets...thus why I'm here. LOL

LOL, sorry!

I am aware of PG...and it's flaws. They depend on IP blocklists to be effective & people like BayTSP are all too aware of these. It's easy enough for them to change or mask their IP's to keep one step ahead of the blocklists. Granted, PG does offer protection, it's not nearly as much as people think.

On the plus side, this whole DMCA bullcrap that Cox Cable put me through has caused me to become much more educated on the way things work out here on the digital frontier. LOL

Peer guardian shouldn't work in this case because it's your ISP that's monitoring you. You can't block your ISP or you loose the internetz

No it won't, it's your ISP that's monitoring you. ISPs give you the internet, you have to have the internet first to get a proxy

Umm I'm pretty sure his ISP cannot *monitor* him as that would be an invasion of his privacy? It's BayTSP that monitored him and reported him to his ISP.

Anyway, there are other programs that work with torrent clients that supposedly encrypt your data before it is sent to your ISP unlike proxies which do it after. But they can be costly and I have no idea whether or not they work.

I guess that's why there so many stupid campaigns about stop virgin and friends. I don't know about encrypting data but if it's possible it will slow torrents.

Btw hot_sauce, what ISP do you have?
You could switch your nic or change your MAC address, or if you have a laptop with wireless use other peoples wireless internet...

I have Cox as my ISP, and I'm on a hard wire router to a desktop PC.

At this point, I'm not going to bother with torrents until my warning period with Cox resets. LOL

I have already watched several shows here on ZOMG & the quality is better than I was expecting....and I save time by not having download!

Good site/service you have here, ZOMG!
