well as there is alot in this thread i will only bring up one point Naruto is an orphan which means his parents are dead or in a non responsive state like being a vegetable.
you know i just actually started reading the Naruto manga and i found it funny how Naruto got his name lol from a book that Jiraiya wrote.
as for the Ebisu thing it may have been set up by Kakashi that Ebisu take Naruto to that hot spring and then he met Jiraiya there and then he take over his training.
