Used up too much energy, so the body shuts down to try and heal itself.
If, Zetsu's speculation on Itachi having been injured prior to the fight is correct, then Sasuke has a slight edge on recovery time. What happens then?
No clue.
And we're finally back to the Tobi-Konoha team fight.
If it is some special technique which lets him phase through attacks, then Shino's bugs ought to be able to defeat it. Ninjitsu Techniques tend to rely upon chakra afterall and these guys eat chakra. So, even if he could phase through the regular attacks, he couldn't stop them from feeding on his chakra.
Problem with the bugs is, they're very vulnerable to Area of effect attacks. So, if Tobi has anything like Amaterasu, then they're toast.
