Have they explained why Kakashi has Magenkyo(sp?) in the manga yet?

Because I have a few guesses.

I think its stupid (don't be offended)
If they decided to change what you said the story line would be much more screwed up. and In the most recent one it touches on what Madara did with Itachi so It would be so much more confusing.

the only problem is that we saw both of Tobi's eyes didnt we? that rules out him being Obito

im pretty sure kakashi has had it since he got the eye, because one of obito's closes friends almost died died and also obito died during the event of which the eye was given to kakashi, though i could be wrong

Seems to be something he developed during the timegap between Naruto and Shippuuden. We don't exactly know what Kakashi was up to at that point, mayhaps he got into a romance and his new flame died on him?

It's a really interesting concept. Itachi said that Kakashi had mastered the Sharingan, but, not being an Uchiha, his body isn't genetically adapted to it so it reacts differently. The Mangekyo Sharingan gives each user a unique jutsu. Itachi has Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, and Susano'o. Kakashi has his Mangekyo "Implosion" Technique. And from what I've seen Sasuke's is mainly about hypnosis.

And wrap your mind around this. Kakashi developed that technique on his own, and each Mangekyo looks different. What kind of techniques could any other ninja develop with an implanted Sharingan eye. Imagine Naruto with a Mangekyo Sharingan. Or Neji, or Jiraiya, or Pain.

Makes you think, doesn't it?
