The manga is still continuing while the anime ended. So does the manga have a different story line then the anime?

wouldn't that seem obvious by comparing the manga to the anime?
I would think it would be a continuation of the main plot derived from the anime. Though tbh that it is kind of hard to believe due to where the anime finished.
In the end I dont know

the anime follows the manda to a certain point but thats it, the manga just takes the elrics through a different path to the stone
