I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

Sasuke for a supposed genius is far too gullible.
He'll believe anything some weird chap, who has tried to kill him and/or his friends, as opposed to trusting those who have shown that they'll risk their lives for him (Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, Choji, Shikamaru, Rock Lee, Neji to name a few).

I'm guessing that Kishimoto wants to mirror the whole Legendary Sennin stuff with Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke in the place of Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru to help increase the drama. Completely unnecessary inmsho.

Want to turn Sasuke evil.. Fine.. Kid's got enough character flaws to lead him down that path anyway. But to constantly have him fall for the same trick, and one that is so blatantly obvious*.. Gives the impression of lazy writing to me anyway.

*: Or in short, Madara is only telling him half the story, either because he himself doesn't know the full story, or because it suits his needs better or even a combo of the two.

And gullible Sasuke buys it hook-line and sinker.

Having said that, isn't it about time that Naruto learns some new tricks? He's going to have his backside kicked otherwise. Then there's the issue of Sakura's elemental nature, what with Naruto being an airhead (wind element) and all that. (SCNR hehe)

Sasuke is kinda like the 'Knuckles' of Naruto. Always listening to Mr. Bad Dude, and then getting proved wrong at a later date. Except he doesn't have a cool theme song and big punchy knuckle things....

its cause its his makengyou and this plot was so predictable. they did this it will lead to another sasuke vs naruto sasuke will lose... since he won the first one. then madara will take that chance to put his true plan into action

I'd personally put more credence into what I'm being told by someone who has saved my backside, rather than some person who has tried to kill it. Maybe, I'm strange like that, but eh...

Itachi didn't tell Sasuke the truth for a reason. He planted Ameterasu in Sasuke's eye to prevent Tobi talking to him.

But Tobi told him what Itachi didn't want Sasuke to know, and now Sasuke wants to crush Konoha because of that.

Tobi probably knew that's what Sasuke would do and used this as his advantage to take revenge on Konoha.

So if Tobi never told Sasuke, the way Itachi planned, then Sasuke would be returning to Konoha a hero like it should be.
But no, Tobi had to go ruin Itachi's years of efforts.

No one should be blaming Sasuke for anything here, at all. He grew up with lies, he's merely a pawn in this situation. Itachi did the best he could for Sasuke, but then Tobi turned it against him and made Sasuke make the wrong decision.

That's my opinion anyway.

well i actually think that sasukes magenkyo looks different because it's a blend of his own unique magenkyo and itachi's. remember in order to have Ameterasu you need magenkyo, it's one of the 3 techniques gained well that's just my theory on why sasukes magenkyo looks the way it does.
