buying would mean i have to get out of the chair, get in the car, go to the train station and go to the city, to the shop and all the way back.
reading online would mean i wouldn't need to get out of the chair and i can just read my favorites latest update.

Just reading online is fine...but don't sit in a Borders with a $5 dollar frappaccino in your hand reading manga and then complaining that its "too expensive" to buy...

Most of the time I buy my manga, because it doesn't feel right when I read it online. The time I read manga online is when, a series that I'm interested in isn't out in my country.

Anyway, i read online, and if i really like it, i will buy it. My collection right now consists of Chobits, Excel Saga, and Yozakura Quartet. So most of my reading is done online. |

As of now, I only read manga online. There hasn't been a manga that has driven me crazy because of its awesomeness other than Katekyo Hitman Reborn! but I refuse to buy all 20 volumes.
But if you like the work buying would be better because the mangaka can continue doing what he or she does best. That also means you can keep getting your fanservice. ;P
