Guess what the mang for death note did not end after Light A.kA Kira died. now. Nate River A.K.A

Near goes around killing people who want to die or are suffering basically he puts them out of their missery. That is some bull. because that made no sense why kill kira so that you could do the killings himself. Oh and by the way the way Kira dies in the manga is worst than the anime. they made him look pathetic and what is ridiculous is that he was begging Riuk to spare his life and he dies just before he was about to write the last letter of Near's real name. That blows. You could read it on onemanga.com and write your comments on it below.

Interesting. That doesn't make sense to me either. Nate/Near was a representative of justice. It goes against his ethics to become the new Kira...at least that's how he was portrayed in the anime.

that is so true deth notes ending was wers then intal d the staff that did should all leep from the hiest bilding around 2 show how sorry thay are

gosh man i dont know what to do hearing what happened makes me want to read the manga but if i do it will ruin the anime for me
im watching the dub on adult swim and it isnt finished yet

The way they ended the manga was dissapointing, but it made sense in a way. I'll understand if you dissagree with me, but Near going off and practicaly becoming the new Kira fit in with the begining of the whole series where Light was still an innocent soon-to-be high school grad. Looking at him then, with no refernences to the rest of the series, you would never guess he could become the worlds most wanted and revered murderer. Somewhere in the first volume Light said something along the lines of "That notebook has the power... to make anyone want to use it, at least once." Near probably fell into the same trap Light did, becoming adicted, like Light, to it's power to kill. Thinking about it like that, it makes perfect sense. Doesn't make it any less dissapointing, though.

Whoa, wait a minute dude, you must be confused. Near didn't become the new Kira. The person who was killing the sick elderly was given a Death note by a Shinigami named Midra who went to the human world to do what Ryuk did. In fact, Near was called in to investigate the new Kira, but he considered the new Kira a piece of crap who wasn't worth his time and he made a point to publicize that on TV. After that, the new Kira wrote his own name in the Death note and killed himself. His shinigami returned to its own world and Ryuk told him that his human killed himself because he was weak, unlike Light.

Oh yeah, that was a one shot thing, and the new Kira is dead, so there is no new series.

Ive just finished watching the series, an i think it is an absolute work of genius, a brilliant anime, & im just about to start reading the manga, so dont ruin it for me!!! Lol, not really!! im really looking forward to it cuz thats what i like about it is the diffentences between the mangas & the animes, thats what makes it interesting!!

i like the anime it is brilliant but the manga is better as they giveu more info on the carecters and the thoghts that lead up to their decitions and their maniulation tecnics.... wich i a great problem in the anime, as in some points u are left lost till later on they explain y it happend.... but it is great 9/10..... but still i wanted to make into a film.... get some mates or together and make a low buget film out of the series.... anyone agree that it should be done?? cuz the japaness film was pretty crap for my liking they could of done alot better

I hate Near and Mello the only characters i really like in that manga were Lawliet and Light

the rest were loose baggage to me.....
