How exactly strong is Yamato? He used a hokage level move against the Kyuubi, and can use Shodai's techniques. Is he on the hokage level? Or would he be considered a high jounin level along with Gai and Kakashi? Or weaker?

No i would say he is not on a Hokage's level. He is merely a experiment and because of his DNA he is able to use 2 or 3 of the hokages techniques.

Before all of this started he was anbu.

So im not sure whether that puts him above or below Kakashi. I would assume it would put him below Kakashi.

But im not sure, anyone like to clarify this?

Well in the manga, Yamato is described as kakashi's former student. And Yamato even mentions hes not up to kakashi's level. IIRC

That'd probably be only because of Kakashi's Mangekyou Sharingan. Otherwise, I'd say Kakashi would have a tough time topping him. Thats why the fight debate forum would be great, but oh well lol.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but since you brought up Kakashi's Mangekyou Sharingan, I was wondering how he achieved it. I thought that someone would have to kill his best friend or someone very close to him to get the Mangekyou Sharingan. How did Kakashi get it?

No one knows how he acheived it. Since Kakashi's Mangekyou looks differant to Itachi's one and it does something completely differant to Itachi's its obvious that he didnt obtain the same way that Itachi did. My guess since killing your best friend you must go through an extremely traumatic experiance and this somehow acts as a trigger (or catalyst) that sets off the Mangekyou sharingan.

Kakashi must of learnt how to do this and therefore must have obtained his that way. But it has not been explained in the manga yet. Dont forget Kakashi is a genious and he didnt sit on his ass for that 2-3 year timeskip either.

Also there are like thousands of other predictions aswell, just google it and enjoy.

Eh, sorry for being an ass. Should have just answered the question. Oh wells.

And he also could have had this even before shippuden, but yet had learned to control it. We don't know all of Kakashi's past. Just a little bit. He could have achieved it when he was still and anbu member( doubt it, but its possible ). Kakashi now is still a weaker version of his ANBU self. If he would have just continued training from when he was an ANBU member, I wouldn't doubt him being hokage right now, that or 10x stronger. He slacked over the years.
