I heard some of Avatar TLAB's creators were chinese or something, does that count as being an anime? or does it have to be from Japan? Just wondering. Anyways, the CGI in the trailer looks great, I just hope it's not just all action like Michael Bay films..

Are you people out of your minds? This is a chance to redeem the anime. The anime was WAY too child friendly. NOONE ever died, noone ever got hurt. The evil characters were all pussies.

Seriously, I'm wondering wth is wrong with you people. This movie can make the dark/light contrast so much better.

For me anime implies a progressive story, where as cartoon implies redundancy. Yes, there is art work and a few other differences ( mainly dictionary definitions) but if the name simple implies location of creation then it has no meaning for me.

I wouldn't call a fish that looks, smells and ( I am told) tastes like a trout a carp because it came from a river known for carp.


Actually some one did die in the anime ( a big rock crushed him), but they didn't clarify it because the show has a 12year old target audience; and I thought the fire princess(Sorry horrible with names) was quite vicious. A lot of the shows appeal came from the child like antics but I know what you mean and if I remember properly the target audience for the movie is suppose to be a few years older.
