concert talk
so here is a place to either post your favorite concert you've been to, or the last concert you went to, or just funny concert stories you have. I'm just going to start with the last band I saw live. it was a few months ago.. I'm about due for another show haha.
I saw Peelander-Z on Monday Night. Weirdest show I've ever seen. There was dudes hanging from the ceiling playing bass, an absurd amount of crowd surfing, moshing, limbo, sentai warriors, kids jumping on stage... so much fun.
If you've never heard of them I recommend checking them out, since their a faux japanese culture parody band so I feel like you guys might dig them.
Best concert I ever went to? Damn...thats a hard one...I would have to say FTSK for the energy...I'm not a huge fan of the music, I just went cause a friend said she had an extra ticket, but the energy of the crowd was amazing. I live in their home town, so thats probably why it was so intense. Best concert story? A couple years ago, my best friend and I (we were 16, both over 6' tall) went to a concert and a group of three drunk 25 years old women came up to us and asked us of they could buy us drinks...needless to say, we played along with it until the bartender got suspicious and carded us and we just laughed at the women when they found out how old we were.

I saw ftsk a long time ago, it was a pretty good show. last year I think the best concert I went to was probably warped tour. lots of killer bands there last year, bad religion being one of the best. I plan on going again this year, even if they raise ticket prices again. punk rock forever D:<
One of the best concerts i have bin to ill have to say is bullet for my valentine
It was at this place called TLA ...its a fairly small place and such butr when i go to a concert im a pit junkie i love to go in mosh pits and have fun in em...anywho they started playing the song Hand of blood
and for some reason the whole floor and i mean the Every bit of it dance floor turned into a pit like if you didnt wanna be in it you had to stand out in the entrance hall thingy ...or go on stage
anywho me and my boy was in this pit (we were 15 at the time) and were just having a blast but then me and this older guy start going one on one he then end up kicking me in the chest i was shocked at this point and lost my breather for a moment ...but then gathered my self and hooked him with my right arm knocking him to the ground ...he then got up and came back up to me (i was thinking he was gonna try and start a fight with me) to my surprise he started laughing and going holy shit that was awesome and blah blah blah ....he told me hje was 35 and was shocked i was 15 ..now the funny part is ..i met this go on the bus 4 years later
now the story dont end there later on
another huge pit broke out on the song on
4 Words (To Choke Upon)
once again we were having a blast ....then it kinda calmed down for a bit towards the end of the song so i looked up on the sage ..and the lead singer wasent on stage he handed his guitar of to some rodie guy so i looked around to see he was in the pit along with us ...by far the best concert i have bin to
I love 30 seconds to mars. one of my favorite bands to relax to. them and coheed
I'm a huge fan of their S/T, which is their first album. I liked A Beautiful Lie as well, but it was too watered down and geared for radio for me to hype the album out to be something truly great; still a good album at any rate. This Is War is fantastic! It has a fusion of the sound they had on S/T and A Beautiful Lie, which creates something completely new and very enjoyable. But yeah, their concert in May should be pretty awesome.
I'm only just taking a liking to Coheed; their new song The Broken is pretty good.
Last concert I went to.... Wow that was a while ago. About a year, I went to the Extreme thing here. Concert was decent, Bad Religion and a couple other big bands played. Funniest part where the Xpoz people, who wouldn't stfu about not smoking. It was hard to enjoy the concert with them. Someone actually threw one of them over a fence because they were messing with him over having a pack. o.o
I remember years ago me and some friends went to see the deftones at wembley arena (just after that had released the self titled album). They were supported by A perfect Circle (pure awesome) and some other random band. Anyways the gig was amazing and ended up going on for about an hour longer than it was supposed to. This was fucking great except for the fact it screwed up our way home as we missed our last train.
SO we ended up walking around the middle of London, hungry and paranoid at about 2:00 in the mourning trying to figure out what trains we could catch and how we were gonna get home. We literally managed to get our foot in the door or Pizza hut just before they were closing. Since the people were in a rush to get us out they just made us a large pizza with all the left over toppings and only charged us for a standard margarita, which was epic.
So we were wondering along munching our pizza looking like zombies, when all of a sudden about 100 police officers ( no exaggeration I swear) marched around the corner in reflective jackets. We were just stood there paranoid as hell whilst all these cops walked past us (we later found out they were heading towards some kind of massive fight that had broken out). That was pretty surreal.
We finally worked out we could catch two seperate trains and just about make it home. AFter catching the first train we had to wait a while once we arrived. So we went out to investigate and look around. After finding nothing that interested us we tried to head back to the trainstation to find it had been cloesed for a couple of hours!? SO we ended up sleeping outside in the midddle of a fucking bush at the center of a carpark. It was the middle of winter and all we had was t-shirts and hoodies to keep us warm. It was so cold it felt like your lungs were freezing together. Somehow we still managed to fall asleep. We managed to wake up literally minutes before our train left.
And after all that, I wouldnt have changed any of it for the world. The point is a gig isnt a night to remember unless you had to go throught hell and back to get there.

I am very excited for Coheed's new album. it's supposed to be the end of all the concept stuff. I plan on preordering the limited edition one that comes with the novel and art book and everything when I get paid, and I rarely pay for music haha. that's how much I like coheed
