DB subed it..
dude i was waiting so long for this movie and it could have been so much better.... Sai was not even in it... also you never saw the red tail fox come out of naruto which i was hoping for....
I didn't expected that sai would be in it, cause a year ago, Sai wasn't even know by the anime viewers. You got to remember that this movie is almost 1y old in Japan.
I hoped that Naruto would show some kyuubi action, but ya can't have it all. It wasn't the best naruto movie but I still liked it.
Haven't finished watching it yet, am currently at the meet the priestess bit.
Not quite sure where this fits in the series timeline. No mention of Yamato, so it predates the introduction of Sai. But Kakashi is up and about, so that would would mean Gaara arc. Problem is, there doesn't seem to be enough room, timewise for all of this to have occurred.
Then there's the issue of Naruto's maturity level, which seems to have taken a drastic nosedive. He's acting more like the Naruto pre-Shippuden, which is a bit of a shame, considering I was beginning to like the more mature Naruto. (Needless to say, I rather applaud the fact that Sakura keeps reigning him in and preventing him from making an even bigger fool out of himself, even if it means knocking the foxtails out of him.)
Found the use of the liquor-filled bonbon with Rock Lee rather funny (even if it was a deus ex machina).
Same applies to the Miko complaining to Sakura that she should become more womanly, because she isn't a soft ride. Extra amusement points, because the first thing that Sakura asks of Naruto when he returns in Shippuden, being if he thinks that she's become more womanly.
It's clear that Naruto has no idea, what the priestess is suggesting at the end of the movie, Kakashi and Rock Lee do get it, as does Sakura, who next to blushing, also seems slightly displeased with the prospect. But that could just be me seeing things, that aren't there.
With Temari also showing up, I'd have to peg it timewise, just after Naruto's return to the village, but before Gaara gets kidnapped. Don't think there's enough time for all of this, but eh..
As for him being handsome.. Sure, he can be seen in such a light, compassion wouldn't be the only reason that Hinata fancies him after all.
Nevertheless, he has pretty much proven again, that he just doesn't have the skills or mentality required for a Hokage, considering his attitude and actions during the first half of the movie.
It's only after the plunge into the water, that he somewhat starts to act like the Naruto we know from Shippuden, and thus becomes a character whom I don't want to strangle roundabout every 30 seconds, that being roughly the time in which he does something boneheaded.
Do find it somewhat strange, that Naruto was far less annoying in the first two movies, (never saw the third so can't comment on that one) despite him being younger there.
This movie was good. It was for sure aimed at a more mature audeince. So many sexual innuendos in this one, or was i the only one that picked them all up. And some of the faces Naruto pulled were classics aswell and the script was very clever at times but some times you just wanted to stab it.
I would rate this movie as being the second best. Only the first Naruto movie (the one in the snow) beating it. But once again i was dissapointed by the ending.
Doesnt it always seem that Naruto saves the day with some massive uber rasengan like in every movie. Haha. But i guess the last bit of dialogue made up for the pridectable ending.
And there wasnt really any sign of the Kyuubi aswell which im disappointed about, but at least we saw Neji in some decent fights, and Rock Lee simply pwned again, that alcoholic lolly was funny.
Also the scene where Naruto gets out of the water and shakes his hair dry, they managed to make Naruto appeal to me in a weird way. I was like "oh wow" sort of thing but yeah i rest assured im not gay or anything, just though i would point that out.
But overall the story was shit house as always with Naruto movies but the animation, art and everything was superb, except for the 3D bit with the ghost army that just didnt fit in. Oh and the soundtrack they used was totally original aswell i think, which im very happy about it. They didnt repeat the same old songs liek they do in the anime, i was very happy about that.
Oh and to the comment above, i thought the movies werent spose to relate to the anime in any ways. It just a whole diffearnt story seperate to the anime and its timeline. I think i remember reading that somewhere.
But yeah i really did enjoy the movie, i lol'd a couple of times which im happy about. And i much rather Naruto to get with Shion (that's her name isn't it? the preistess chick?) than Hinata or Sakura.
Overall a 7.5-8/10
Simply becasue of the shit story. no Sasuke and no Kyuubi.

You are going to put up a link for the vid, yes? I don't wanna go looking around for it...
I'm not quite sure how this movie fits in the whole DB-ZOMG agreement on not uploading their material to streaming sites. Until, I get some additional info on this issue from the chaps in charge, I won't be adding it (I have no desire to accidentally cause another flame war to erupt, by violating the agreement due to my own ignorance of the specifics), one of the other media mods might though (their call to make).
I haven't seen it yet, but I've liked most of the Naruto movies. I just wanted to say that I think the Naruto Movies are a lot like the DBZ movies. They are in their own little split universe or something and don't really need to fit into the time line...
