I've read the manga and everything, and I know what happens, but if Orochimaru was to attack Konoha again, he would not cause nearly the amount of damage he did the first time around. He's weaker then half the people in the village, his below-chunin level ninja are nothing compared to Konoha's ninja now. Danzou is just an old idiot, not like he can do anything, and I doubt ANBU would attack the village, and even if they did, I doubt they are as strong as the jounin and what not.

So really, whats the plot purpose behind them talking about another invasion of Konoha? Unless Akatsuki was involved with it, there would be no problems for Konoha. Just a very dumb idea to try that plot in my opinion. Gai or Kakashi could probably beat Orochimaru them selfs now, so he's not a threat either. I just don't understand why to use that as a sub-plot or whatever you want to call it.

Yeah most of all the other characters like Shikamaru and the sand ninjas can probably take down the ANBU and Orochimaru but if the Akatsuki were involved and were on Orochimaru's side then Konoha would be in DEEP shit

Well you forgot one thing.Orochimaru know a lot of Kinjutsu or "Banned techniques".
One of them is Edo Tensei - Resurrection to the Impure World


Only with this he can beat Konoha.He just need to sacrifice 3 of his men.

Who can beat 3 hookages? Only other 3 hookages and not to mention a unique techniques.

Isn't he only allowed to do that technique every some odd years? Its only been 3. Anyways, if he can, I imagine all of Konoha could win that fight. Counting Yamato, Naruto, Gai, Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenai, Jiriya, Sand Nins would help, I'm sure, Shikamaru, Chouji, the Fathers, so on, so forth..I wouldn't be surprised to see Yamato take Shodai himself if it happened. He has shown a lot of skill.

Actaully if Orochimaru did attack Konoha again it is possible for him to win. I'll explain.

Remember last time he attacked he tried with brute force and hired the Sand shinobies and that big snake thing? Well that was a mistake. He should of tried destroying Konoha's foundations.

What i mean is destroying Konoha from the inside out. And this time it is possible since he has Danzou's support from inside of Konoha. If they planned their attack so that Danzou attacked Konoha from the inside and Orochimaru from the outside i think it sure would be possible to destroy konoha. Even if Danzou with his 'root' team of anbu slowly but steadily started to kill off people inside Konoha cause conflicts between the people of konoha leading up to the invasion they sure could crush Konoha. Or somehow Danzou persuades Tsunade or someone to send all the ninjas out of Konoha on a mission and then Danzou attacks Konoha with his 'root' anbu team.

Then sure it will be possible to destroy konoha. But as i said only this would be possible with a co-ordiniated attack with Orochimaru and the weaking of konoha from the inside before the actual invasion.

Anbu couldn't do anything to Konoha really..the send everyone on a mission wouldn't work, they'd at least leave a team behind. They're not that stupid. They always leave either Kakashi or Gai's team behind. Or send a mix of the two. Only exception was fighting akatsuki. But at that time, you still had 2 teams left to protect.

Konoha being the strongest Village, will give them a good fight either way, Like previously stated, Im pretty sure that the new Ninja woild be able to take down orochimaru anyway, e.g. Naruto nearly took him out

Yeah, and plus, Oro looked pretty weak in that fight too. More so in the anime then in the manga.
