Ok I'm a fan of the whole comedy action theme but recently I've had the urge to watch a couple of mecha anime...So far I've watched, tengen toppa, fafner, rahxephon, gunam seed/destiny/00, fmp, gunparade and a couple of others which I can't remember.
Anyone think they could recommend me anything, though it has to contain aspects of comedy/romance

(btw i tried watching gasaraki cept its now licensed)

Well if you want to see a mecha anime with a bit of romance you should try Eureka 7.

eureka 7 brilliant and also has a verry good story... get a bit offtrack in some episodes tho but i ave to admit it is brilliant... has ood charecters and makes u feel as tho u knw them. but the great default i found in the series is that it finished too abruptly if it were me i would of extended it a bit more... personal opinions tho

and Zero no Tuskaima is a must.
