well i ave to admit there are loads of violent anime but i liked elfied alot.... mental powers mixed with verry body dismemberments... lol.... hope uenjoy

Elfen Lied, Mnemosyne are the best gorey ones.
Shingetsutan Tsukihime is pretty good.
School Days and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni are pretty screwed up as well, though not really 'gorey' animes like the first couple.

Sorry, I watched school days and it was horrible. The whole entire series to be exact. The ending was just... yeah, you know what I mean.
I hate anime's where the guy cheats on the girl..

well i would suggest Berserk but its knda has a bad ending but its defiantly worth watching but if you watch it watch episode 2 and so on before episode 1

Yeah Berserk has quite a bit of gore and the ending is suposedly bad because the last episode never aired

Also Black Lagoon has a ton of deaths not so much gore but great action
Then there is Speed Grapher a very dark anime has some sexual stuff in it to
